IMG_20170708_122626Participants to the recent Hotels, Food Processing and Catering Workers Union (HFPCWU) Trainers of Trainers workshop have hailed the union for the training saying it has helped them to expand their knowledge so that they should teach others without encountering much difficulty.
One of the participants Holyson Mataya who is second Regional Representative for the Southern region, said the workshop has helped him to expand his knowledge on how to ably train other people.
“This workshop has really helped us to expand our knowledge in this sector. We will be able to train others without encountering many difficulties,’” he said.
He went on to commend HFPCWU for identifying participants from all the regions of the country saying that the development will help the union to save costs as it is going to have its own trainers of trainers.
Promise Mtsinje who is southern region representative concurred with Mataya that the workshop has played a big role in improving their education depth regarding how to train others.
“Infact it’s been an eye opener for us to fill the gaps that we had in the union,” he said.
He called upon the organisers to organise more refresher courses so that they should be equipped with possible ways on some skills on how to train others.
Friday Chiumia said that the workshop was quite important in the sense that the knowledge gained from the facilitator will enable him to become a good trainer.
“I have learnt a lot on qualities of a good trainer. I am thankful to the organisers of the union for choosing me to participate in this high level workshop,” he said.
