HFPCWU Equips Trainers of Trainers

IMG_20170708_122654The Hotels, Food Processing and Catering Workers Union (HFPCWU) Trainers of Trainers have been told to implement what they learnt during a day long workshop which was held at Alendo Hotel in Blantyre.
This was said by Annie Kazembe, Deputy General Secretary, for Transport Union who facilitated the workshop for potential trainers for HFPCWU.
Among other things, the facilitator equipped the participants with important skills so that they should be able to train other people hence explaining that most people lack the attributes to deliver the much needed goods.
“Trainers are not born but they are trained. So during this workshop you are going to be trained to become good trainers.
“It doesn’t make sense if you are trained but do not deliver,” she explained.
She went on to say that as trainers they must lead by example and have a strong sense of purpose.
“If you cut corners as trainers then the others will follow your footsteps. You should know your subject because they say failing to plan is planning to fail,” she added.
The participants were drawn from Maldeco Fisheries in Mangochi, Universal Industries in Blantyre, Sunbird Catering Solutions, Carlsberg Malawi, Ryalls Hotel, Capital Hotel, Butterfly in Nkhata-bay and others from the Secretariat.
